The Dinky Dance program is a multi level instructional dance program for children ages 2-6.
Dinky Dance started in 1983, with one dance class, in one day care center. Over the last 30 years, Dinky Dance has evolved into an exciting program that anyone can teach.
It incorporates many songs, activites and dance movements young children LOVE !
Dinky Dance Programs:
Pre Dinky Dance:
Is a 30 minute program designed for 2-3 year olds. Starting with warm up songs and movements, it adds stretches, simple Plies and Tendus, basic locomotor skills across the floor, resting, tumbling skills and finishes with introductory tap skills.
Dinky Dance "One":
This program offers material for an hour or longer dance class. It begins with stretching and warm up songs, aerobic movement songs, basic ballet steps across the floor, center barre, resting, tumbling skills and tap skills
Dinky Dance "Two"
This hour plus program expands on Dinky Dance One. Offering 4 movement songs as well as center barre combinations adding Ron De Jambe, and Jumps. Steps across the floor add Bourres, Sautes, and Chasses. Resting songs, tumbling skills, tap steps and dances are included.
Dinky Dance "Three"
Following the same format, Dinky Dance Three includes locomoter songs and related skills, adds technique and step combinations to ballet, introduces jazz, as well as resting songs, more advanced tumbling , tap skills, and dances.
Dinky Dance "Ballet &Tap Dances"
This program supplements the above programs. It allows teachers to pick from 10 pre choreographed Ballet dances, 10 Tap dances, and 5 Christmas dances. Music includes classical, character ,song and dance,musicals, and country.
Dinky Dance "Kinetic Kids"
This program includes both Boys and Girls into a fun class. Movement songs and games, barre exercises, steps across the floor, tumbling, dances in ballet,tap, and jazz are all structured for anyone to participate.
Dinky Dance "Summer Fun"
Summer fun focuses on summertime songs.Movement songs are creative and storylike. Ballet steps are combined and set to upbeat songs. Tap and tumbling music can be interchanged with jazz steps and dances.
